the question is... suppose that a college admissions office needs to compare score off students who tale the SAT with those who take the ACT, scores have a mean of 896 and a standard deviation of 174 . suppose that among the college applicants who take the ACT ,scores have a mean of 20.6 and a standard deviation of 5.2

well, i guess you can assume that since he scored roughly 1.05747 standard deviations above mean in the ACT test he also socres 1.05747 standard deviations above mean in the other one. At least that's how i'd try to solve it. not sure if that's allowed.

IF IT ASKED THAT THE APPLICANT bobby scored 1080 on the SAT, how many points above the SAT mean did he score?
