What is the best way to change this sentence from passive voice to active voice? The course was being failed by half the students near the end of the school year. A. With an active voice, the subject is actually preforming a task.. Grr direct answer.

With a passive voice, however, the noun or noun phrase that would be the object of an active sentence (eg; jack beat jill) appears as the subject of a sentence (eg; jill was beaten by jack in the race)
