OpenStudy (shelby1290):

Why are people more likely to obey a law if they're convinced it is right?

OpenStudy (dangerousjesse):

Let's call that "the psychology of logic." When people are told that something is accurate or "the norm" by a person or many persons of higher value to the community, they are more likely to follow that something because people are programmed to seek shelter in normality, and following the crowd is the fastest way to normality.

OpenStudy (dangerousjesse):

I've actually done several research papers on the psychology behind The Crowd; it's incredibly interesting.
