Ok I can't seem to get a hang of the algebra stuff Down pat... I don't know why... Can anyone help better explain why some I can do and some I draw a blank? Simplify the following expression -(3x-11)+3(6x+6)
it might help to read the question slower. then go through the steps carefully.
for this question you need to use the distributive property to get rid of parenthesis group like terms compute to simplify like terms
It said to drop the factor? SO that means drop the negative correct?
-(3x-11)+3(6x+6) multiply each term inside by what is outside -3x + 33 + 18 x + 18 group like terms (-3x + 18x ) + (33 + 18) i'm sure you can finish this
I am doing well in the other courses I think math just throws me for a loop
-15x+29 drop the factor so 15x+29
all in your mind. change your thinking and you will do better.
drop what factor?
do you follow what I did?
Oops do not factor So that means do not put the negative on it ?
How did you come up with 33? I came up with 11
i made a mistake thanks its -1*-11 i did 3*11
ok so it should be 15x+29
so it would be 15 x + 29
like I said and it goes for me too you can see, go through the steps carefully
Ok thank you so much for your help
you are welcome
