Ok I can't seem to get a hang of the algebra stuff Down pat... I don't know why... Can anyone help better explain why some I can do and some I draw a blank? Simplify the following expression -(3x-11)+3(6x+6)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

-(3x-11)+3(6x+6) is same as -1(3x-11)+3(6x+6)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

distribute now

I can get some of them easily... I seem to get confused and this is my first year back to college in a long time... So I don't remember

So I come up with -3x-11+18x+18

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

thats a very good try, just a minor mistake

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

- times - = +

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

-1(3x-11)+3(6x+6) -3x\(\color{red}{+}\)11+18x+18
