Determine the average rate of change of the function between the given values of the variable. f(x) = 3x^2; x=2, x= 2+h Can anyone show me how it is worked out? so far i have up to: 3(2+h)(2+h) - 12 / 2+h - 2 How do I simplify?

ok good

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the denominator is \(2+h-2=h\) right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the numerator you have to remember how to multiply out \[(2+h)(2+h)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and then multiply the result by 3
