The sea snails in tidal marine areas feed on the dominant species of algae. What kind of interaction takes place between the sea snail and the algae?

Well mutualism would mean something mutually beneficial to both the algae and the snail. Being eaten really isn't beneficial to the algae so it wouldn't be A. Competition is 2 species competing for food so it can't be C. The algae is not a parasite in the snail nor can the snail be a parasite on the algae because a parasite usually lives inside it's host and gets all it's needs met by the hosts body not ust hunger so it's not D. I'd say the snail is having it's hunger needs met by the algae so it's a predator to the algae, so I'd say B woud be correct.
