Here is my poem I guess.

Nights of loneliness haunt me.
They steal away the things I want to see.
If only I could find a way to find a new light.
Just finding color, a romance, something real is out of my sight.

My life is sorrow, filled with pain.
The things I did right were not in vain.
All I ever wished for was to make a difference,
Now I have to pay for my innocence.

I connected to love that I knew was beyond me,
It filled me with great joy, and then I started to see.
Everything around me, it was so unreal,
Colors fade to black, it's not what I wanted to feel.

Time goes by, and it harbors within,
The pain, the sorrow, the emotions, it's a war we never win.
They take us over, and tear us apart.
It's your choice to choose, will you really let it burn your heart?
