Medal to the person who answers! What does this photograph show about the role of minorities serving in the military during World War II? Military units were segregated based on race and gender. For the first time, African-American women were allowed to serve their country. Minority soldiers were more willing to serve under female leadership. For the first time, African-American soldiers were integrated into the general military.
All enlisted soldiers in this picture are African-American. Minorities were segregated during the war by race but the picture shows both genders
Here are my educated guesses: 1. B. It shows women dressed in business attire, likely to be breadwinners while men were in the war. This is a confusing picture, though, as they are coming out of a synagogue but question makes no reference to religion. 2. B. All enlisted soldiers in this picture are African-American. Minorities were segregated during the war by race but the picture shows both genders (so it cannot be A).
