I'm doing a project for math & in one of the problems it included putting the decimal .00258333 to the 252nd power. I tried using multiple calculators and they all show up as error. Can anybody help me with this? (P.s. You're not giving me the answer to the problem bc I have more steps, but I'm stumped on this part) Thanks xx :)

you are trying to do this 0.00258333^252 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The result is pratically zero... take a look http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=0.00258333%5E252

I kept getting that too, but I didn't think it was right :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

look: 0.00258333 = 258333/100000000 100000000 > 258333 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(258333/100000000)^252, the denominator is way much larger compared with the numerator and that's why it is practically zero

OpenStudy (anonymous):

got it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohhh, okay! Thanks!
