Year 1: The decrease is represented by 0.30*(2250) = 675 So, After one year, the laptop is worth 2250 - 675 = 1575 Year 2: The price resale value decrease is 0.3*(1575) = 472.5 So, after that year, the laptop is worth 1575-472.5 = 1102.5 ... etc.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it says it not right

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

The formula for this process.. year one: 2250 - (0.3)(2250) = 2250(1-0.3) year 2" 2250(1-0.3) - 0.3[2250(1-0.3)] = 2250(1-0.3)^2 etc. for n year: 2250(1-0.3)^n
