(I'll Give You A Free Medal, If You Help Me Answer This) What did Phillis Wheatley and Mercy Otis Warren have in common? Both fought for African American rights. Both fought to secure women's rights. Both wrote poetry about freedom and slavery. Both wrote works supporting the Patriot cause.
We can cross out A, because Mercy never wrote about African American rights. We can cross out C, because Mercy never wrote about this, and I'm pretty sure Wheatley did not either. I would say the answer is either B or D. My best guess out of those 2 choices is D, because after reading some of the poems Wheatley wrote and the papers Mercy wrote, there does not seem to be anything about women's rights. Mercy was a political writer, as well.
@mwhit2101 thanks :)
