OpenStudy (mathmath333):

no 37 please

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

also u have to read a paragraph above 37

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

i think its c

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

I don't think any of them are true. A counter example for c: imagine you have the set A to be: 1 1 1 1 .... 2 and the set B to be: 2 2 2 2 ... 3 If you change the signs of A: -1 -1 -1 -1 ... -2 The largest is still in B

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

actually it is a counterexample for a, b and c

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

so u can repeat any number like u did 1 and 2

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

Yes, well because it says that \(a_1, \ldots, a_{250}\) are not all necessarily different :)

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

-1>-2 right

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

yes

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

so largest and greatest is same or different thing

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

i hope u understand my question

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

Hm I believe so. Unless somehow they mean largest as the "largest" number in terms of absolute value :S To my knowledge, largest and greatest mean the same

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

so u 100% sure on d?

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

Well even if largest can mean in the sense of absolute value.. c would still be wrong then by my counterexample again.

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

thanks

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

book also says d

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

:) yay
