**MATH HELP** WILL FAN AND GIVE MEDAL! QUESTION IN THE COMMENTS.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Here it is

OpenStudy (k_lynn):

B, the second circle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so -3?

OpenStudy (k_lynn):

because the lines outside of the number like this /-3/ just pretend that they're strait, mean absolute value so it would actually be 3 but the answer is yes, -3

OpenStudy (k_lynn):

Do you understand that concept now?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah! Thank you!

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

yes...you subtract 3

OpenStudy (k_lynn):

Yup! Glad to know I helped you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@k_lynn Help me on this one?

OpenStudy (k_lynn):

My arch nemesis...box and whisker plots...I'll try my best

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@k_lynn lol ik i hate them. Thanks a lot though! :) I became of fan of yours.

OpenStudy (k_lynn):

Just by glancing briefly, I'm going to say the answer is the last choice. You see the 13 and 18? Those are the lowest numbers. See the last option, too? It's going up by twos. The only one that relatively matches the data I would say would be the last one. Just try to match up the numbers on the plot. I'm not really any good at this. So to be honest, I have NO clue if this answer is correct. And thanks for the fan :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohhh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How bout this one? @k_lynn

OpenStudy (k_lynn):

Hmmm I wouldn't buy the stock on the first question but I couldn't tell you why. It just feels too low of an increase. And use this website to try the other problem. http://www.wikihow.com/Calculate-Outliers

OpenStudy (k_lynn):

mean means the average by the way

OpenStudy (k_lynn):

You'll want a calculator for this unless you need to show your work.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@k_lynn Okay thanks! :)

OpenStudy (k_lynn):

yep
