OpenStudy (just_one_last_goodbye):

Is the chords for one song the same for all the the music instruments?

OpenStudy (just_one_last_goodbye):

for example if i play the piano with the chords be the same for a guitar? im confused on this cause when i searched up chords for a song for guitar and its the same as piano

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes some will

OpenStudy (jumperman):

Yes. I play guitar and piano.

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

it should be the same most of the time like brass instruments, pianos, guitars are all considered "concert key" but there are instruments like French Horn, Trumpet, Clarinet that need to be read in a different key to sound right

OpenStudy (just_one_last_goodbye):

i play drums and piano and i want to learn guitar and bass but i thought the thing was confused and since the drums dont use chords lol xD i didn't know the answer

OpenStudy (jumperman):

They both use A, B, C, D, E, F and G. So do many other instruments.

OpenStudy (jumperman):

Drums don't use that though. I don't think.

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

there are drums that do use pitch like the timpani

OpenStudy (jumperman):

There is always some kind of scale involved with playing stringed or wind instruments. And that requires the makeup of a chord.

OpenStudy (just_one_last_goodbye):

lol ok thanks ^_^ @Jumperman no they dont even though each drum piece has a different tone all you need is beat and rhythm on drums

OpenStudy (jumperman):

It always goes by either the Do-Re-Me, or by this make up: Whole, Whole, Half, Whole, Whole, Whole, Half.

OpenStudy (jumperman):

I'm talking about guitar and piano by the way.

OpenStudy (jumperman):

Do you have a guitar @just_one_last_goodbye?

OpenStudy (just_one_last_goodbye):

yes but some strings missing since i got it for Christmas and lol i wasn't interested in learning back then now i regret it

OpenStudy (jumperman):

Strings are pretty cheap. You can get a good set for like 10 bucks or something like that. I can help teach you how to play, if you'd like.

OpenStudy (jumperman):

I can teach you how to play like Eric Calderone, look up his youtube channel, 331Erock.

OpenStudy (just_one_last_goodbye):

im kinda worried cause i have a wooden guitar and well since my carelessness the back of the neck is coming off the body

OpenStudy (jumperman):

Hmm.... save up some money and get a new guitar, it's less expensive than trying to repair it.

OpenStudy (just_one_last_goodbye):

can i just put super glue?

OpenStudy (just_one_last_goodbye):

and how much for them to tone the guitar ?

OpenStudy (jumperman):

Depends on what shop you go to to repair, but super glue may work, but I wouldn't reccommend it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if u have a piano you can do it

OpenStudy (jumperman):

Unless you are asking to tune it, which I can show you how to tune a guitar easily.

OpenStudy (just_one_last_goodbye):

i want to go to Sam Ash or guitar center

OpenStudy (jumperman):

Guitar Center is a really good place.

OpenStudy (just_one_last_goodbye):

so is Sam Ash

OpenStudy (jumperman):

More mainstream, so it means it will be cheaper.

OpenStudy (jumperman):

It's your choice.

OpenStudy (just_one_last_goodbye):

thx
