Hey @just_one_last_goodbye ...
I took a copy of "Strength Training" by DK Publishing, ISBN 9780756654474 to a Kenesiologiest, a person with a PhD in the operation of muscles and joints. They looked at the advice the book gives on health, exercises it covers, etc. They agree what it says and that it covers what modern medicine knows about the human body, strength, and fitness. If you are thinking about any sort of weight training, I highly recommend the book. There are a TON of bad advice books and sites on strength training that are based on myths and legends of the bodybuilding industry. For example, that you need to be on a pure protein diet. In truth, extra proteins get converted to fats, so they don't add more muscle development. By finding a good source at the start you can avoid a lot of problems. Also, dumbbells are a great option. You can usually get some dumbbell length bars and weights cheap, which will let you size things to yourself. No need to buy a huge set because with just 4, 2.5 lb; 4, 5lb, 8, 10 lb, and 4, 25lb you can do a very wide range of dumbbell weights and exercises. You may not have a size choice if you go with used ones, but there are regularly people upgrading from 1 inch to Olympic sets or offloading stuff they don't use that can be gotten very cheap. Oh, and I bring all this up because for males, strength training is important. The muscular system helps with make hormone regulation so it is a good thing for guys to work on.
@e.mccormick lol cool ^_^ yesterday I went to a store and bought a 10 lb dumbbell but that was the only one so i bought a 8 lb dumbbell
With plates you don't need specific weights. You make them as needed.
also i bought something called push up bars that help me do push ups and also it makes it possible to do push ups for my back
Just don't use a long bar without a spotter.
lol no its the little ones that u can carry with one hand
I mean for plates. I know what a pushup bar is. Hehe. Just supports certain areas. But you could get something like this very cheap on the used market: http://www.amazon.com/lb-Adjustable-Dumbbell-Grey-Plates/dp/B003VW844S
I have already done 150 on both arms with these dumbbells lol i cant feel my arms they feel like marsh mellows when i move them
hmmm makes sense ^_^ i saw those at the store as well
And with a book like that you can find out what exercises complement each other to do a balanced workout. See, when you work out your chest, the muscles get tighter and can pull your shoulders out of alignment. The way to balance this is to work out your back.
is it just me or the smart scores aren't working O_O
It has been lag-ish. Delayed reports, slow load on SS.
hmmm ok thanks E.m thought it was just me
@RyGuy can u help i know ur a pro at this

Men planning secret training. Then comes an undercover to bust the plan.
Well, as a Secret Evil Overlord, I need to keep up on the latest training.
Oh well.
Training one person at a time. I don't see that as a threat.
Exactly! Nobody suspects it is an army that way.
