which of the following does not need to be cited( check all that apply)
Answer choices?
encyclopedias dictionaries journals almanacs
What do you think the answer is? :)
is it journals
im not too sure on that one
no it is either dictionaries or almanacs
No, but that is a good guess! If you're writing a research paper, and you need help to spell a word, you look in a dictionary. But since it isn't the actual information that you are using in your essay, you wouldn't need to cite it. BUT, an almanac is real information that would need to be cited. Definition of almanac: http://prntscr.com/4mc6sg Your teacher would need to know where you got such information from to confirm it's authenticity. Whereas with a dictionary, you wouldn't need to do so... Does that make sense? >.<
Kind of, so basically the answer is a dictionary is the answer because the question says which does not need to be cited
Yup, exactly! :3
DICTIONARIES DONT NEED TO BE CITED
^ xD
right but the other refrences do?
Yes, all of the others DO need to be cited. Your teacher needs to know where you got your information from.
ok thanks
No problem :)
can i let you know if i have more questions about plagirism
Yeah sure! Just tag me in your questions I can try to help :3
thanks
Glad I could help :)
Partial copy plagiarism occurs when the exact words or content from a source are inserted as part of your paper without giving proper attribution
what is the difference between partial copy plagiarism and whole source plagiarism.
and can you give exmaple of each
whole source plagiarism is claiming an entire work as your own.
but what is the diffenece, that i would like to know
Honestly, I didn't know that there were two different kinds of plagiarism..I've never heard of that before o-o But it sounds like you just said the difference yourself :P
I'm really not sure at all, but I think that partial copy plagiarism MIGHT be changing some of the elements you used in your own paper, but not citing your work? I'm kind of clueless, I haven't heard of partial copy plagiarism before.. cx
yes there are two kinds
Partial copy plagiarism occurs when the exact words or content from a source are inserted as part of your paper without giving proper attribution and whole source plagiarism is claiming an entire work as your own. ^ That is the difference. I just copied and pasted what you said ;P
ok
Can you come of with some examples on your own?
Examples of partial copy plagiarism include copying and pasting something from the Internet where you take entire sections from the original text, paste them in to your paper and fail to reference them.
^ Yup, that is a good one. Have one for whole source plagiarism?
No i think that's whole source plagiarism... x.x
