The next two terms of the sequence 3, 6, 12 ____ are:

OpenStudy (gorv):

it is a geomatric progression (gp) with common ratio=6/3=2 next term will be =last term * common ratio here last term is 12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1) 20,34 2) 18,30 3) 24,72 4) 24, 48 5) 22, 36 And what the answer here?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To make this easier \[3\times?=6\]\[6\times?=12\]Once you answer that, do you see a pattern? Continue that pattern to find the next two numbers.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure .. thank you..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"sure.." You don't seem confident, if you are still stuck just ask me for more help :3 Although, I will not give you the answer. You need to learn this for similar problems in the future.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont no if the answer is this 3x2=6 6x2=12 12x2=24 24x2=48 =24,48

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Heyy, you got it right :3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hehehe .. thank you for helping me.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Anytime, thank you for actually learning :p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how about this? The 6th term of the series 9, 3, 1, … will be:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you see a pattern there? Instead of multiplying, try dividing/adding/subtracting. In this case it's dividing, just use the same technique we used for the last problem.
