why do leaves change color

Within the leave's cells, there's a membrane-bound structure chloroplast which contains chlorophyll. The chlorophyll is the component that function photosynthesis given the leave color green. Therefore, when the chlorophyll meet troubles in functioning well (the plant lose water and blah blah...), the color of the leave changes .
