Jacob is 5 years older than two times Molly's age. Let J represent Jacob's age and M represent Molly's age. Which equation can be used to determine Molly's age? (ANSWER CHOICES BELOW) M = 1/2 J - 5/2 M = 1/2 J - 2/5 M = 2(J - 5) M = 2J + 5 I need help with this question ASAP. Can somebody please help me get the answer..?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer is the last equation D.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Since Molly is twice and plus 5 years older than Jacob J=2m+5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh wait never mind I did the equation wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's A sorry I read It incorrectly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Since j=2m+5 And you're looking for Molly's age you try to get m by itself Subtract 5 to both sides J-5=2m Divide 2 to get m by itself 1/2j-5/2=m
