What is a montage?

A montage is short clips put together, so let us say that there is an action film. A montage would be created with all of the most action pact scenes just playing one after another. There are so many examples you can get from so many different things.

It is taking many different scenes of something, clipping them, editing them and making a continuous strip of film.

Almost just like that, but moving and in film. That is a good example.
