2y+3<3y-5 graph and solve the solutions Hi, when I tried to solve this I got y>8 and I don't know if it's right because I'm not sure how to graph it on a number line. Please help, thanks.

Why are you graphing it on a number line?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's what my directions say to do.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, just making sure. Is there anyway you can show me your number line that you made?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I didn't make one yet because I wanted to make sure my answer was correct but I'll give you an example of what the assignment is looking for.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You don't have to.

I personally do not like number lines. There is always many different ways to do a problem, your answer is right. I want to show you why though.
