This year, John watched 95 movies. He thought that 76 of them were very good. Of the movies he watched, what percentage did he think were very good?

OpenStudy (deepolisnoob):

To get a percentage, you do:\[\frac{ x }{ total }*100%\] Your x value would be the movies he thought were very good, while total is the total amount of movies he saw. You will have 76/95, or 0.8. To convert it into a percentage, you multiply that number by 100% (the percentage symbol did not appear in the first equation I typed). 0.8*100%=80%.
