Statistics. Confidence intervals. Looking at the Z(a/2). Where does the number come from? (e.g. z(a/2) for a 95% confidence level = 1.645

Why? Like, i get \[z _{\alpha/2} = z _{.05/2}. But why does z _{.025} = 1.960\]?
