OpenStudy (kohai):

A ball rolls down a ramp with very little friction. Which of the following is not true?

OpenStudy (kohai):

(A) The ball covers a greater distance with each time increment. (B) The ball's acceleration increases with each time increment (C) The ball's velocity increases with each time increment (D) The ball covers an equal distance in an equal amount of time (E) The distance that the ball covers in one second depends on the time and the ball's initial velocity

OpenStudy (kohai):

My guess here is D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no friction so gravity is causing acceleration right?

OpenStudy (kohai):

A and D are opposites which is why I'm looking at the two. But if it covered equal distance in equal amounts of time, there would need to be no gravity. With gravity, it will eventually slow down and no longer cover the same distance in the same time increments.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The ball is accelerating due to gravity. That means it is increasing in velocity per second, and the distance it is covering also increasing over time
