Using complete sentences, explain how to graph the following piecewise function:
y = -x2 if x < 1
y = 2x if x greater than or equal to 1

For the anything left of the vertical line x=1, graph assuming that y = -x2

For the anything right of the vertical line x=1, graph assuming that y = 2x
Also assume that on the x = 1 vertical line, y = 2(1) = 2
