In "No Gumption," what does the author reveal about himself and his family when he says that his uncle took in "threadbare relatives"? A. His family is badly dressed. B. His family takes advantage of his uncle. C. His family is poor. D. His family supports his uncle.

OpenStudy (kidthatbro8):

i'd say either A or C, but mostly A because threadbare means "of clothing; poor or tattered with age." i'm not sure of the two, however.

First, Look up "threadbare" (the meaning) and it tells you there :-) But the answer is C, his family is poor :-)
