I know the answer is D.8 but I don't understand how... Please explain?! (prepping for the SAT so please don't ask me where my work is because I can't cheat on the test and I'm just trying to understand how every single problem is answered and what the process is to get the answer before I take the practice SAT again but I'd appreciate a walk through too) THANK YOU ♥ http://awesomescreenshot.com/0153hov6f1

Any particular reason you gave me a gaming site...?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

still here ?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Notice that \(\large (x+1)(x+3) = x^2 + 4x + 3 = (x+2)^2-1\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what does that have to do with (x+2^2=9 and sorry I was doing other practice questions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x+2^2=9*

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

you know that (x+2)^2 = 9 so use that value to find the numerical value of (x+1)(x+3)

Oh wait I understand it now. Thank you! @ganeshie8 c::
