Since politicians have to constantly run for re-election, they have to find ways to constantly please their electorate. That leads to politicians telling people what they want to hear and not what would make the most economic sense.

well yes because there just trying to lie to win so they dont spend time making discions .if they would take soome time thewn they could make decisions.

I think that they would do a better job, and actually consider what would have the best results... But since they have re-elections, they are always only worried about what makes them look the best, and what they can do to drag down other politicians.
