when deciding between qualitative vs quantitative, remember that anything that can be grouped into a category is qualitative where as quantitative generally refers to only numbers. As far as nominal, ordinal, continuous or discrete, without giving away the answer, I'd say re-read the statement: "LETTER" grades earned by.... etc Hope this helps?
