You need to isolate the x from the rest of the numbers. so you have to do the opposite of PAMDAS so undo any addition/ Subtraction -11x+33=99. ( you have to subtract 33 first to the both side.) -11x +33-33=99-33 -11x=66 then do the undo any multiplication and division \[\frac{ -11x }{-11 } = \frac{ 99 }{ -11 }\]

which will give you x only on one side. x= -9
