The fur trade was important to both native Americans and French Settlers as the French allowed the Native Americans to travel far and wide with them in search of beavers to hunt down. The beaver fur was very useful in the production of hats of the time. French and Native American Relationships were best with the Huron and worse with the Iroquois tribe. Hope that helps. :)
