All real numbers that are greater than or equal to -1.5 and less than 9.2

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

cool what about them?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i need to translate it into an inequality but I don't know how

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let's break up the question into 2 parts and tackle them individually first. "all real numbers greater than or equal to -1.5" all real numbers >= -1.5 If we let the variable x be all real numbers, we get: x >= -1.5 Can you do something similar for the second half, all real numbers less than 9.2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so would the it be 9.2<x>-1.5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would be \[-1.5\leq x<9.2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank u so much

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just to clarify, 9.2<x>-1.5 says All real numbers greater than -1.5 and All real numbers greater than 9.2 (you read from the x towards the sign)
