Why is it important for scientist to use the scientific method?

The scientific method is basically an outline that scientists follow in order to conduct their experiment. It usually consists of a purpose, hypothesis, methods, results, and your conclusion or analysis. Scientists use it to keep themselves and their data organized. They also use the scientific method to prove that their experiment is reliable and worthy to be conducted a second time.
