Solve and check : 2/3(9n+3) = 2n - 14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first distribute or easier multiply to get rid of the 2/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do i distribute a fracton onto an algebreic equation like 9n

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats y i said to multiply

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok my bad, i misread it one second.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im not sure what to multiply.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

18n/3+2=2n+14 You can do the rest

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so i have 18n / (-4) = 2n do i divide by 2 to the 18 and the 2n to get rid of the 2 and make it n = 9n / (-4)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply by the inverse

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i would have 2/3 x 3/2 which would erase it on that side and then just multiply 14 x 3/2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

on the other side?
