What average force do you need to accelerate a 9.2 gram mass from rest to 125 m/s over a distance of 0.80 m

I used equations \[F=ma\] and \[a=(v^2-v _{0}^2)/(2(x-x _{0}))\] F=ma= (0.0092kg)(9.7*10^3m/s^2)= 89.8N I just want to know why you would always have to convert grams to kilograms for Average force and what other kinds of equations you would have to use kg for.
