Write a polynomial function of minimum degree with real coefficients whose zeros include those listed. Write the polynomial in standard form. 8, -14, and 3 + 9i

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Zeroes of a polynomial mean the values that statisy the polynomial. that is after putting the given value in the polynomial it gives 0 . here there are basically four zeroes 8,-14,3+9i and also 3-9i .. as imaginary zeroes always exist in pair (conjugate pair).

So, our equation is (x-8) (x+14) {x-(3+9i)} {x-(3-9i)} ... now just multiply and solve. Signs have been changed because what a zero means is x=8 so it becomes (x-8) as factor of a polynomial.
