FInd the Square roots (two) of 36
the square root of 36 is 6
I need two answers
6 and -6
6 and -6
@natsent06 does that answer your question?
Do not give direct answers - it is prohibited by the code of conduct http://openstudy.com/code-of-conduct
6 and -6 is correct
@MrNood oh really? I will have to look at that... thanks!
You would think an Ambassador like @math&ing001 would know that, but I guess he doesn't.. @MrNood
Thank you.. I will remember this for the future
6 and -6 are correct because: \(6^2 = 36\) \(-6^2 = 36\) also. Remember, a negative times a negative always equals a positive so when you multiply -6 by itself, it comes out as a positive 36.
I would expect that @math&ing001 There is no benefit to the OP to be given an answer like this. "6 & -6" will not be the answer to the NEXT similar question....
He's probably thinking that an ambassador shouldn't be 72, it should be higher. So he works for the medals.
Yes, giving away answers is prohibited by the Code Of Conduct @MrNood and @iGreen Reading that is the first thing we do as ambassadors. However in a few cases like this one, there is not much explaining to do. Simply mentioning -6 would remind him that negatives work too as roots for positive numbers.
And thank you for reminding people of the CoC !
