Which of the following is an example of a run-on sentence? The dog is in serious need of a bath. He stinks every time he goes outside. Please help me wash him, he’s dirty. I’ll get the soap, and you get the tub.

A run-on sentence has two part at least that can stand by themselves (as independent sentences). They don't have any connection between them (sometimes just a comma).

OpenStudy (gatorgirl):

I'm not sure about this one. It's not either one with the commas, so it's either A or B.

OpenStudy (math&ing001):

It's actually neither A nor B.

I already said it's not A or B. Identify 2 sentences that can stand alone.

Okay dude listen up, he needs help. That's why he's on here. If you want to help him then ask him questions to try to help him. But if your just going to sit there while he’s being utterly confused and be a smart butt that has all the time in the world then leave. @math&ing101

OpenStudy (gatorgirl):

Your not acting like it. He's going to school to learn and obviously doesnt get something. So he comes on here to get some help. Were trying to help him, but you just sit there like youve got all the time in the world. Talk to him, help him. Cuz your not doing a good job at it. If you know what the answer is then help him. Lead him towards it. He needs to get onto his next question. He cant wait all day for you.

I already asked him a question that would lead him to the answer "Identify 2 sentences that can stand alone". He didn't give me a response yet!
