Prove that abs(x) <= abs(x+y)+abs(y)?

I attempted abs(a)+abs(b) >= abs(a-b) So I got, abs(x+y) +abs(y) >= abs(x+y -y). Then just reduced right to abs(x+y) +abs(y) >= abs(x) Is this right or not enough proof?
