Which is an advantage that single-celled organisms have over multicellular organisms?
1. The advantage of a multicellular organism over a unicellular organism is that multicellular organisms can grow to virtually any size because the cells integrate their activities and are permanently associated with one another. Unicellular organisms can only grow to a certain size because of certain surface-area-to-volume problems 2. Multicellular organisms have specialization Source : http://www.answers.com/Q/What_advantages_do_multicellular_organisms_have_over_unicellular_organisms
Thanks :)
mhm ~
What does that mean im a little rusty on my txt talk ?
nooo it's just like a hum, mhmmm. as in yes,
ohhh thanks now i feel stupid lol ;)
no question is stupid ~
unicellular has a much much faster or higher exponential growth (term that refers to reproduction in microbiology) than multi-cellular' faster growth can lead to many things like mutation, which lead to survival should there be a drastic change in its environment. the opposite is true about multi-cellulars. I understood that the question refers to the advantage of unicellular over multi-cellular and not the other way around.
