A ladybug starts at the center of a 16.0in .-diameter turntable and crawls in a straight radial line to the edge. While this is happening, the turntable turns through a 30.0degree angle. A) Find the magnitude of the ladybug's displacement vector. B) Find the direction of the ladybug's displacement vector. Please express your answer as an angle between the displacement vector and the initial direction of the motion.
I got this!
Please help Vegiti!!!!!!
Suppose the turntable wasn't moving, then the bug just walks on a radius from the centre to the outer edge.
Now when the turntable is moving, the bug still moves out along a radius, with respect to the turntable. But we can see that that radius line has turned 30 degrees by the time the bug reaches the outer edge.
Try drawing a diagram that has the initial and final positions of the bug from the point of view of someone looking down on the turntable.
I still do not know how to solve this problem
have you tried drawing a diagram of the initial and final positions ?
