if an obtuse angle is bisected, what are the resulting angles?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Acute? The angle bisector of a straight angle is 90 degrees so I'm assuming an obtuse one will be under 90

OpenStudy (anonymous):

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

That is correct. If you cut an obtuse angle in half, you get 2 acute angles that are congruent to one another.
