Trigonometry. How do I solve this?

OpenStudy (ahsome):

Which angle are you trying to find?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and the ditsnce from d to c is 15m. im tying to find the distnce from a to b. =)

OpenStudy (ahsome):

Assuming the shape is not a rectangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay..

OpenStudy (ahsome):

Hmm... Where is the right angle? The botom left angle is \(160+59=219\) The bottom right angle is \(108+13=121\)

OpenStudy (ahsome):

Anybody know there the \(Right-Angle\) is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nah im sorry no idea.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Really sorry

OpenStudy (ahsome):

Its OK, your question ;) We need a right-angle triangle to use Trigonomatry, but I can't find any 90 degree angle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can we use theta= 180- (angle1 + angle2)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no haha

OpenStudy (ahsome):

But what will that give us? To find length, we need to use: \[sin\theta=\frac{Opposite}{Hypotnuse}\] \[cos\theta=\frac{Adjacent}{Hypotnuse}\] \[tan\theta=\frac{Opposite}{Adjacent}\] But in all cases, we need a 90 degree angle.
