Rate of work = (work done)/(no. of hours * no. of workers)
start from there

you first solve it and we'll see from there..
say R is the Rate for each worker per hour
      1 is the work being done
       t is the number of hours
      n is the number of hours
R = 1/(t*n)
 now try to solve it using the first situation: 8 days, 6 workers
