Question

I’m starting to let it go,
That pain underneath my skin.
It just goes to show,
You put out what you take in.

The scars will always be there,
But my eyes never shined to bright.
I have ones who love and care,
That tell me wrong from right.

The blade is now far gone,
The guilt is just a day in the past.
I turn up my favorite song,
I let this easy moment last.

My mind was so wicked,
As dark as hell,
My blood, a lost liquid,
But they couldn't tell.

Short periods at a time,
The cuts were like showers,
I needed to cry.

But the past is the past,
Still confusing as it is,
I am here to forever last,
Those days I do not miss.

I spend my time with my own,
Mending the bonded that was broken.
I know I’m not alone,
Could I be more outspoken?

This was the tale of the lonely girl,
Who thought no one loved her.
She was so blinded by the world,
But He pulled back that cover.

She stepped into the light,
Feeling that smile upon her face.
Her family was filled with such delight,
She was now filled with love and grace.

This story may be made up,
It might also be true.
The girl who lived and was loved,
Is standing right before you.
