money....everything is someway related to money. To put ads on this site cost the advertiser money. Money that OP gets for displaying the ads. Thats the only reason I can think of because someone has to pay for this site

This is something you should post on the openstudy feedback section as it might get more notice from the mods. You can also message the mods directly and that might work.
