Based on the assignments and Travel Journals I have, your teacher might be asking a little bit of the Renaissance and also about discovering new land and *the Colombian Exchange*.  Oh, and also how they would transfer the slaves to the "New Land" or "New World", whatever they would call it.  I attached the Travel Journals.
