B.

OpenStudy (mikkel900):

Hello, Miss Sienna. Here is a definition of a Thesis Statement: A thesis statement is a short statement that summarizes the main point or claim of an essay, research paper, etc., and is developed, supported, and explained in the text by means of examples and evidence. Whatever piece of work in which the thesis statement is being used, it should always adhere to the guidelines governed by its school of thought. So, I suppose, judging from that, each of the four statements could work as a thesis statement, depending on the focus of the paper. If the focus is the British industrial revolution, then A, if the focus is the first automobile then D.. However, probably the broadest and most covering of the options. So, unless otherwise stated, I agree with @idek-ok on B.
