Find the total of the cost of the items. T-shirt, 19.95$ tax rate, 5% How would I do this on a calculator?

OpenStudy (imstuck):

The tax needs to be in decimal form first. 5% in decimal form is .05 Multiply the 19.95 by .05 to find the tax. That is .9975 cents, rounded to $1. Now add the $1 tax on to the price of the shirt and this is total cost including tax. On your calculator, enter .05 times 19.95 and hit equals. Then when you get that value, add it back in to the 19.95.
